During this class WW co-owner Alexis Tellefsen will show participants the basics of hand building (non-wheel processes of clay construction) with instruction in pinch, coil and slab building techniques geared towards the constuction of functional wares.
A ceramic vessel can be anything you decide - a cup for your morning espresso, a small bowl for your favorite snack, a pot for your newest plant baby. During this class we'll be working on making our own breakfast set - a mug or teacup accompanied by a bowl or small plate. Participants are encouraged to come with a loose plan of what they'd like to make (feel free to sketch at home!) and Alexis will help you see it through to fruition.
To complete your pieces you will have the choice of a wide range of glaze colors which Alexis will apply to your pots and she will fire them for you. Finished work will be available for pick up within 3 weeks - you will receive an email when your pieces are ready.
This is the perfect class for beginner or intermediate level but all ages are welcome and no experience is required.
